It is my thesis project and it took a duration of over 7-8 months to complete. The “Smart Buy” project aims to enhance the retail experience of a consumer using physical computing, ubiquitous computing and other related technologies. The project deliverable is an intelligent kiosk, which provides the user a service to compare the products/brands and make their purchase decisions.
The project consisted of the following phases:
•The requirements gathering phase consisted of literature review, analysis, user studies using effective information gathering techniques.
•Concept building phase involves looking at rich and unique ways of enhancing the varied shopping experiences taking into consideration the consumer behavior and his psychology.
•The concept building phase is followed by prototyping all the possible concepts and testing them.
